Multilateral Cooperation
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation takes part in multilateral judicial cooperation aimed at developing professional contacts between highest courts, exchanging national experience and promoting practical dialogue on current issues of justice.
Multilateral cooperation is carried out within established formats and through participation in forums, meetings, conferences, seminars and expert discussions. The main areas include cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Union, and the Asia-Pacific legal forum format.
The agenda of multilateral cooperation reflects the most relevant challenges facing modern justice systems: digitalization of courts, use of information technologies and artificial intelligence in judicial activity, protection of human rights and freedoms, development of economic and administrative justice, combating transnational crime, protection of minors, mediation, recognition and enforcement of judgments, and improvement of judicial administration.
