Constitutional Foundations and Openness
Judicial power in the Russian Federation is exercised exclusively by courts. Judges are independent and subject only to the Constitution of the Russian Federation and federal law.
The activities of courts, including the Supreme Court, are carried out in accordance with federal legislation ensuring access to information about court activities. Judicial acts are published as provided by law, and procedural guarantees include mechanisms such as compensation for violation of the right to a trial within a reasonable time or the right to enforcement of a judicial act within a reasonable time.
Within this constitutional and legislative framework, the Supreme Court ensures the effective administration of justice and contributes to the protection of the rights and lawful interests of citizens and organizations.
